Birthday Party Chefs
and Party Assistants

Are you the life of the party? We’re looking for engaging, enthusiastic lead chefs and party assistants to run children’s cooking birthday parties for ages 5–15 on select Saturdays.
Lead chefs guide the cooking experience and manage the flow of the party to keep it on schedule. Party assistants support the chef, lead games and activities, and engage kids and adults throughout the party.
For both roles, we’re looking for friendly, outgoing personalities with strong people skills. Party staff members must be punctual, dependable, and comfortable working flexible Saturday morning and afternoon hours. Learn more in the pull-down menu below.

Provide age-appropriate culinary instruction to children at a range of skill and interest levels, including knife skills, operation of kitchen equipment, and how to read and follow recipes. Focus on safety and basic food preparation while cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Provide constructive feedback to students on their cooking skills and techniques.
Manage student behavior and ensure a safe and orderly classroom environment while fostering a festive atmosphere.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom and kitchen area.

High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary Degree preferred.
Previous experience in cooking, food preparation, or teaching is preferred.
Ability to commute to Maplewood, New Jersey.

A passion for cooking and food education.
Strong cooking skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
Ability to lead and guide children of varying ages and abilities in a festive context.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Commitment to fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment, supporting different learning styles and needs.
Dishwashers
We’re currently seeking reliable dishwashers to join our team. Shifts are typically short (usually no more than three hours) and primarily on weekends, with occasional weekday opportunities. Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but not required—we’re also happy to hear from people who simply enjoy being in a kitchen and want to work in a friendly, upbeat environment.

Minimum 1 year of food and beverage services experience.
1-5 years of experience in culinary instruction or a related field.
Must be located in commutable distance to Maplewood, New Jersey.
